Hag

These paintings were based on hags from folklore and mythology around the world. I looked at Yama Uba from Japan, Mama Paduri from Romania, the Cailleach from Gaelic mythology and the Soucouyant from the Caribbean. I researched these different cultures intensely and enjoyed implementing traditional patterns and cultural symbolism into the images.
